Location: Houston, TX

The Quality Supervisor provides the necessary support to the Quality Manager in accomplishing the execution of all Quality related duties. Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and as scheduled. Help provide the organization, control, leadership, and direction needed to ensure that the production and profit objectives of Lincoln Manufacturing, Inc. are met.

The position can be hourly (non-exempt) or salaried (exempt).

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the Quality Manager.

The following personnel report to the Quality Supervisor

  • Quality Inspectors

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring the proper completion of daily, weekly, monthly calibration and inspection reports of all Quality tools, Instruments and equipment in the Gauge Room to ensure that they are in safe and proper working order to meet QS and ISO requirements.

  • Responsible for administering preventative maintenance to all Quality tools and Instruments.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Inspectors are trained on the operation, general maintenance and safety of all Quality related Gauges or Instruments.

  • Responsible for helping the Quality Manager reduce calibration and maintenance expenses through supply control and Quality follow-up.

  • Responsible for setting goals and objectives for the position and assisting in the development of the department's goals and objectives.

  • Ensuring that his/her employees are Inspecting Quality products.

  • Responsible for ensuring subordinate employees remain productive and focused on daily production/quality tasks.

  • Ensures that the Quality Gauges and Instruments are properly set up for production.

  • Responsible for identifying product rejects takes corrective actions to correct the matter.

  • Responsible for ensuring the clean-up of the Gauge Room is completed on a daily basis prior to the completion of the supervisor’s shift.

  • The First and Second Shift Quality Supervisors direct the inspection activities of all Plant departments on the appropriate shift.

  • Responsible for helping the management maintain the morale of the employees trough teamwork.

  • Responsible for helping the Quality Manager to develop a high performance team.

  • Responsible for the communication of company policy, procedures, and performance expectations to all subordinate inspectors.

     

    DUTIES

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Attend all scheduled management, safety and/or training meetings.

  • Fill in for the Quality Manager in their absence.

  • Ensure that all daily Quality documents are properly completed and submitted to the

  • Quality Department prior to the end of each business day.

  • Follow- up on all jobs in progress” and maintain communication with the Quality and Production Managers especially as it relates to information on potential schedule changes, possible quality problems, new submissions and Re- Works.

  • Ensure that all damages to company Tools, Gauges or Instruments are reported promptly and action taken to repair is accomplished.

  • Complete all required reports in the time allocated.

  • Report significant problems and trends to the Quality Control Manager.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.

  • Ensure that all Re-Works, special projects or none API products are properly documented as required.

  • Follow up with the Inspectors making sure that all products are properly marked and identified throughout the production process. Communicate this process to the Inspectors and follow-up to ensure daily compliance.

  • Ensures that employee performance evaluations are completed as scheduled on all direct reports.

  • Establish close communication with manufacturing department and office personnel by reporting any issues when Lincolns Quality Management System is not followed accordingly.
