Lincoln Manufacturing is currently seeking qualified candidates for our position of Inventory Clerk at our Houston, TX location.

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for entering and maintaining inventory data in the ERP system. This position will also ensure that materials and other costs are correctly applied to work orders.  
 
  Essential Functions
  • Enter finished goods into inventory at the Houston location.
  • Verify that receiving entries performed by yard personnel are correct and maintain the heat log.
  • Responsible for ensuring that materials and other costs are applied to work orders before closing.
  • Closing work orders upon completion.
  • Ensuring all work orders are closed for End of Month.
  • Processing of Intercompany sales/purchases.
  • Assist in conducting and verifying physical inventory counts.
  • Transporting material, machining parts and pallets using a warehouse forklift.
  • Completion of certain miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.
  • Comply with all HSE rules required for the work environment.
   
Job Specifications
 
Education: This position minimally requires a high school diploma (or equivalent). Inventory experience is recommended.
 
Skills and Abilities:
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills, excellent developed interpersonal and analytical skills, as well as an understanding of inventory management processes and tools in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to write well-structured, professional reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior-level management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Has to be driven, self-managing and well organized.
  • Strong ability to use Windows Office Application Software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook…). Knowledge of Global Shop ERP is a plus.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of inventory experience is recommended.
Global Shop a plus
 
 
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit, and occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee will occasionally be required to lift/move up to 25 pounds.  Travel is sometimes required.
 
 
Equipment Used:
Warehouse Forklift, Computer, and standard office equipment.
