Lincoln Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager for our facility located in Magnolia.

Objective:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the products and services provided by Lincoln Manufacturing meet the requirements of the customer, licensor, API, and the LMI Quality Management System.

Function:

  • The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and tasks necessary for personnel to perform adequate inspection of products and final release of products to the customers.

  • The Quality Control Manager ensures that all tasks are completed accurately and as scheduled.

  • The Quality Control Manager helps provide the organization with the control, leadership, and direction needed to ensure continuous improvement of the LMI Quality Management System.

  • The position is salaried (exempt).

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Direct the daily operations within the Quality Control department.

  • Oversee all areas of inspection, from receipt to final release.

  • Ensures calibrations of measuring and test equipment procedures are adhered to.

  • Ensures the effectiveness of the nonconformance reject process; Works with necessary departments to determine dispositions for nonconforming products and materials.

  • Help to establish, meet and exceed the quality objectives of the corporation in conjunction with the Director of Quality.

  • Manage and direct all employees in pursuing and representing the best interests of Lincoln Manufacturing, Inc. through the expansion of quality within budget.

  • Direct the development of forms, reports, records and training within the Quality Assurance department and the communication and training of the Operational and Administrative departments as it pertains to quality and safety.

  • Establish quality priorities, track activity, results, maintenance of records and criteria needed.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the effectiveness of the LMI QMS through responsiveness to corrective action requests, assisting with internal and external audits as assigned, and recommending changes for continuous improvement of products and processes.

  • Responsible for material and work order approvals. This includes reviewing material test reports (MTR) against API and customer requirements for conformance and determining suitability of use of the material in question. Work orders are reviewed against specific requirements prior to release to the shop floor.

  • Assess the training needs of employees and develop training plans for employees; Works directly with the Training department to ensure compliance to training demands

  • Investigate customer complaints and nonconformity claims to determine corrective actions needed to mitigate the underlying issue.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality, Vice President, or as needed to support the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Acceptable: HS Diploma with 5-7 years of similar experience.

    Preferred: College Degree with at least 2 years of similar experience.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.

  • Knowledgeable in QA/QC concepts and methodologies. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience with dimensional inspection

  • Strong knowledge of the requirements of API Q1, ISO 9001 and other relevant industry specifications.
