The Calibration Technician provides the necessary support to the Quality Assurance Manager in accomplishing the maintenance of all quality gauges.
The Calibration Technician ensures that all tasks are completed accurately and as scheduled.
The Calibration Technicians helps provide the organization, control, leadership, and direction needed to ensure that the production and profit objectives of Lincoln Manufacturing, Inc. are met.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring the proper completion of daily, weekly, monthly calibration and inspection reports of all Quality tools, Instruments and equipment in the Gauge Room to ensure that they are in safe and proper working order to meet QS and ISO requirements.
- Responsible for administering preventative maintenance to all Quality tools and Instruments.
- Responsible for ensuring that all measuring devices are operational, keeping track of the general maintenance and inventory of all Quality related Gauges or Instruments.
- Responsible for helping the Quality Manager reduces calibration and maintenance expenses through supply control and Quality follow-up.
- Responsible for setting goals and objectives for the position and assisting in the development of the department's goals and objectives.
- Ensures that the quality gauges and Instruments are available for set up for production.
- Responsible for maintaining organization of the Gauge Room.
- Responsible for the communication of company policy, procedures, and performance expectations to all subordinate inspectors.
DUTIES
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain compliance Quality Procedure Manual.
- Ensure that all daily Quality documents are properly completed and submitted to the Quality Department prior to the end of each business day.
- Follow- up on all inventories of gauges and communication with the quality assurance and production supervisors especially as it relates to information on scheduled maintenance, availability, and new purchases required for gauges.
- Ensure that all damages to company tools, Gauges or Instruments are reported promptly and action taken to repair is accomplished.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Follow up with the Inspectors making sure that all calibration stickers are visible and can be found on each measuring device.
- Establish close communication with the quality supervisor, and customers to support production.
