OBJECTIVE

QA Coordinators are responsible for assisting in the overall maintenance and monitoring of the LMI Quality Management System.
 

FUNCTION

The QA Coordinator provides the necessary support to the QA Manager in monitoring the activities necessary to maintaining the LMI Quality Management System.

The QA Coordinator ensures that all tasks are completed accurately and as scheduled.

The QA Coordinator helps provide the organization, control, leadership, and direction needed to ensure continuous improvement of the LMI Quality Management System.

The position can be hourly (non-exempt) or salaried (exempt).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Ensures the proper completion of daily, weekly and monthly QA departmental reports as assigned.

Performs data collection and analysis as assigned. Data may pertain to, but is not limited to, supplier performance, internal NCRs or part rejects, FRNCRs, or licensor required reporting.

Responsible for the update, release and maintenance of all internal quality forms. This includes updating old forms, releasing new forms, and maintaining the master list for all quality forms.

Responsible for the release and maintenance of all internal quality procedures and manuals. This includes updating all table of contents, electronic filing, and distributing documents as needed. *As assigned, QA Coordinators may assist in procedure rewrites or revisions*

Responsible for the release and maintenance of all external quality procedures and manuals. This includes updating all table of contents, electronic filing, and distributing documents as needed.

Assists in reviewing document changes to ensure LMI conformance to industry, customer and licensor requirements.

Generates all dimensional inspection reports/bubble drawings for work orders. This task requires adequate review of customer drawings and API requirements to ensure adequate reports are released to the shop floor.

As assigned, coordinates customer gage requests and oversees the management of licensor gage rentals.

As assigned, generates training tests for new or revised internal procedures, customer specific requirements, or licensor specifications. Coordinates with the LMI Trainers to ensure tests are suitable for use and completed within a timely manner.

Assists in completion of internal or supplier quality audits as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Acceptable: HS Diploma with 3-5 years of similar experience.

Preferred: College Degree with at least 2 years of similar experience.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.

Knowledgeable in QA/QC concepts and methodologies. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience in an auditing role desired.

Familiar with API Q1, ISO 9001 and other relevant industry specifications.
